66th Cazares Family Reunion!
Palm Springs, CA
September 18-20th, 2026

The 2026 Cazares Family Reunion will be held at the Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel located at 888 Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs CA. The hotel is located in downtown Palm Springs with easy access to restaurants, shopping and easy access to freeways. We are happy to host the Reunion late September to enjoy cooler desert temperatures!

Reunion Information

This year we will be offering a taco bar and other sides at the Friday night Welcome Reception and Salsa Contest. This is intended to make it easier for you to enjoy as much family social time as possible. As guests arrive, they can go straight to the Terrace just outside the Pasadena/Sierra/Ventura rooms for the Welcome Reception to dine, mingle and enjoy all the activities we've come to love at the reunion each year -- salsa contest, karaoke and poker!

Saturday night dinner and other meals will be on your own like in previous years. There is a restaurant at the hotel that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and numerous restaurants within minutes away.

A Bit of History

The Cazares siblings started going to Palm Springs in 1959. Back then Palm Springs was a small desert town that hosted the rich and famous during the winter months. Because the summers were so hot, hotel rooms were available very cheap. The Cazares clan, being a resourceful bunch, jumped on the opportunity to have a great and affordable get-away weekend at a nice hotel with all their siblings. This kicked-off what would become an incredible tradition for the Cazares siblings, their cousins, and now the 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation families. The first hotel was The Lone Palm. There have been many since, such as the Vista del Sol, Riviera, Double Tree and our favorite, the Renaissance Esmeralda.

Family Gratitude

We owe a debt of gratitude to our elders for creating this remarkable experience and to all those who have worked hard (coordinators) to keep this tradition alive over the past 66 years! Only one year was missed during COVID, thus we are celebrating 65 years of the reunion this year. We wish to honor this tradition by keeping it going for another 65 years while uplifting all the wonderful qualities and values that tie our families together.

Let’s also remember the original elders, Carlos and Berta Cazares, who made the long trek with their children from Mexico to San Diego to provide a better life, and they sure did! They instilled in all their children and their children's children a sense of family values, community service, respect, dignity, and equal opportunity for all. We look forward to continuing their legacy by reconnecting to our roots and celebrating the blessing of our beautiful family!
